MOUNT OLIVE ROBOTICS
MORT 11 strives to foster appreciation for science, technology, engineering, arts & math in the student body. Our partnerships with experienced engineers and mentors allow us to gain insight on their real-world knowledge and expertise. We actively engage with our community through outreach programs, exposing them to STEAM principles and FIRST values. In doing so, we hope to empower the next generation of innovators and leaders to drive progress and bring positive change in the world through their passion for STEAM.
MORT 11
Established in 1997 in Flanders, New Jersey. Students work alongside adult mentors, school teachers, and alumni to build robots to compete in FIRST Mid-Atlantic events. Students also learn communication, business, public speaking, and media-relation skills.
BETA 193
Established in 2012, FRC Team 193 is the first all freshman team in the world. Students learn the basics of robot programming, mechanical, and electrical work and compete in the same varsity level events as MORT 11.
Other Teams
MORT wants to establish a FIRST competition team at every school in the district. FLL teams were started at two of our four elementary schools, and we started an FTC team of 20 members at the middle school. These teams received resources from MORT and are mentored by MORT students.
2023 GAME
In CHARGED UP presented by Haas, FIRST® Robotics Competition teams will prepare for a challenge that is fully charged to inspire your team to see the potential of energy storage in a new light.
